Anticipated Opening: School Business Administrator/Board Secretary (Start Date: 9/1/2026)
The North Warren Regional School District is seeking a highly qualified professional to serve as the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary. The successful candidate will provide leadership in the management of the district's financial and business affairs, ensuring the efficient use of resources to support the educational mission of the school.
Essential Functions
Provides leadership and direction in the preparation and administration of the annual school budget.
Manages all business-related operations including accounting, auditing, payroll, purchasing, insurance, and risk management.
Oversees facility maintenance, custodial services, transportation, and food services.
Serves as Secretary to the Board of Education, preparing agendas, minutes, and legal notices.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding school finance and business operations.
Maintains accurate financial records and prepares regular reports for the Board of Education and state agencies.
Coordinates the annual audit process and implements audit recommendations.
Manages the district's long-range facility plan and capital improvement projects.
Serves as the district's Public Agency Compliance Officer and Custodian of Records (OPRA).
Serves as the official purchasing agent of the Board and ensures purchasing is conducted in accordance with applicable law, code, and Board policy.
Audits claims, invoices, and demands against the Board, presents them for Board approval, and arranges for payment.
Oversees the investment of Board funds in accordance with statute and Board policy.
Maintains and safeguards Board records, including responsibility for records retention and destruction in accordance with applicable state law and retention schedules.
Performs Board Secretary duties related to Board meetings, minutes, correspondence, school elections, the annual reorganization meeting, disclosure statements, and required notices to county/state agencies.

- Performs other related duties as prescribed by law or assigned by the Superintendent and/or Board of Education.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Expert knowledge of New Jersey school finance, GAAP accounting, and budgetary procedures.
Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in financial software and data analysis.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to the Board and the public.
Qualifications Profile
Certification: Valid New Jersey School Business Administrator Certificate of Eligibility or Standard Certificate required. Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA) certification preferred.
Education: Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or School Administration preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in school business administration or related financial management preferred.
Clearances: Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $115,000 to $130,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications, per the individual employment contract)
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and prescription coverage, paid time off (sick and personal days), and mandatory enrollment in the New Jersey Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF).
Terms of Employment: Twelve-month position. Contract terms and salary to be set by the Board of Education.

Anticipated Opening: English Teacher (26-27 Academic Year)
The North Warren Regional School District anticipates an opening for a full-time Middle School/High School English teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction.
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and support student learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen programming.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
Qualifications:
Certification: Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate: Teacher of English required.
Skills: Ability to successfully implement the district's reading and writing program. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong understanding of the NJ Student Learning Standards in the English Language Arts Classroom. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher; exceptions to be determined based on New Jersey statutes and regulations.
Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, instructional content, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
Clearances: Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Reports to:
Principal, Assistant Principal, Supervisor, or other certificated administrative or supervising personnel.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 annually, pro-rated based on start date (education level, experience, and the NWREA agreement).
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and prescription coverage, paid time off (sick and personal days), and mandatory enrollment in the New Jersey Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF).
Other Compensation: Eligible for additional stipend opportunities for extracurricular advising, coaching, or committee participation per the collective bargaining agreement.

Anticipated Opening: Evening Custodian (26-27 Academic Year)
The North Warren Regional School District anticipates an opening for a full-time evening custodian for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will:
- help maintain a clean, safe school environment
- possess strong time management skills
- have a proactive attitude toward safety
Qualifications:
- must have or be willing to obtain a NJ Low Pressure Boiler Operator’s License within one year
- custodial experience preferred
- knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures
- trained in proper handling of hazardous materials
- ability to lift 50 lbs.
- ability to climb step ladders

Description:
- 12 month position
- hours: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm
- salary range $40,000-$55,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
